We're going into the Memorial Day Weekend and my schedule is easy. I wanted it that way! Saturday night Wade Bowen's doing a private party with me in Reklaw, Texas. Say what? Reklaw? Yup, it's a tiny little east Texas town and boy do those guys know how to throw a party. I'm looking forward to it for sure. Sunday I'm hanging out with my a bunch of my friends and family. It'll be good to see them all. Please remember our troops here and abroad on this special weekend!!!
Walt Wilkins, Susan Gibson and I are about to embark upon another HOV tour. We all enjoyed it so much the last time we toured together that we decided to do it again. We're coming to some towns that we didn't make it to on the last trip so clear the schedule and represent. You asked for it so you're getting it! Can't wait to see you all!
The albums coming along just fine. To tell you the truth I'm really sick of just talking about it. I want it out, but as you all know... It just takes time. The name of album will be... CONVICTION!!! Tada!!! Now you know. Oh, and also, when I say "conviction" I mean the belief in what I'm doing and what this album represents. My best effort with the songs, the production, the musicians, the management... All of it. This is the best!!! I can't wait for you to hear it!
On a much sadder note, earlier this week we lost one of the family in Texas Music. Kirby Standley, who toured with the Roger Creager Band as their long time road manager, passed away Wednesday after a sudden and short illness. He was 30 years old. Information on arrangements will be posted on rogercreager.com as they become available. Please remember his family and band of brothers in prayer as they go through this difficult time.
