Happy happy new year to all!! I hope everyone had a great holiday extravaganza like I did! A lot has happened since I last wrote in and I just wanted to catch everyone up to speed. Kelli and I are in the final days of preparation for our little boy to arrive on the scene. I must admit I have never seen a more beautiful pregnant woman than my Kel. She beams with excitement and glows with anticipation. Motherhood will fit her well. Thanks to all who have asked about her and kept up with her progress. I will let everyone know as soon as I can get to a computer when the little tyke arrives.
With that being said I would like to thank Joni and crew for having a baby shower for us this coming Sunday at the White Elephant for the Clubhouse Concert Series. Keith Davis will be having his CD release party that night and then I will take the stage. It's gonna be a fun night!
On the 29th of this month I will be in Austin for the Gruene With Envy awards show. Conviction has been nominated for album of the year and Man of Conviction has been nominated for single of the year. It's quite an honor for me to be nominated alongside my peers. Please go vote for me!!!
Steamboat Colorado... What can I say? What an amazing time with all the artists and you the fans. That's what makes it such a wonderful vacation for all of us. Just getting to hang out and enjoy each others company!!! Can you say "RECOUP". I can't wait till next year!!!
Was anyone at the show last Saturday night at Midnight Rodeo with me and Randy Rogers? I have never seen that many people in that place in my life. Packed out!!! I was a really special night for me because my family and friends were in town for Kelli's baby shower and all came out to enjoy the madness. It was also great to have my great friend and brother Walt Wilkins come out and get on stage to sing a couple of tunes with us. Look for his new CD coming out soon. Thanks to the Randy Rogers crew for having us on that show.
Now let's talk about 2006. There's no doubt that 2005 was a blessed year and I thank all of you for the continued support you give us. With that being said I now see even bigger things on the horizon for 06'. I didn't name the record "Conviction" for nothin'. This is our time to stand up and let the world know that we are here to make sure that lyric based songs have a place in the scene. We will rock out and shake it down to an acoustic guitar and microphone. We will sing with every ounce of our body and play like it's the last show we'll ever do. We will make new fans and bring back old ones. We will win you over one at a time or by the hundreds. We will do hundreds of radio interviews and be in countless magazines. We will play honky tonks, dance halls, county fairs, listening rooms and many private parties. We will stay late to make sure every autograph and picture has been taken. We will thank you continuously from the bottom of our hearts for coming to shows, standing right up front and staying till it's over. We will thank you continuously for sharing our music with your friends. We will continue to get better and keep our nose to the grindstone. We will shun handouts, but will receive success with honor because we are blessed to do what we do and blessed to know each and everyone of you. We will make our mark in 06' because of YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
as we embark upon this new year I would like to thank the group that has assembled around this effort. To Mike Williams @ 3Leaf Entertainment, Ricky and Bruce at KB Talent, the band of talent, Keith Davis, Mike Henretty and Chris Grady... Let the Good Times Roll!!!
May God Bless You,
Brandon Rhyder
