Greetings to everyone. Welcome to the Brandon Rhyder diary which is not updated as much as it should be, but I have been very busy you know. That's my excuse anyway. Well, well, well... What has been going on? Oh ya, I have a new record out that's doing very well and a single on the radio that's moved into the #11 spot this week on the Texas Music chart. The response to the CD has been very positive and I'm so proud of that and thank you all immensely. That's why I called it "Conviction"!!! You see... It's almost like a parasite or a bad case of the trottin' johnny's... You don't know how you got it, you didn't feel it, but you've been infected with "Conviction". Now that I have you under my little spell I demand that all of you travel to unknown parts of the world (rural counties will suffice) and spread the message of "Conviction". GO GO GO!!! Now that I have totally freaked some of you out let's move on.
Kelli and baby are doing well and we (isn't it funny that she's the one carrying this baby but yet I can insert the word "we" into this sentence and everyone is ok with it) are in the the 19th week of this thing called pregnancy. I'm starting to see a belly on her! The other night we compared bellies and I can definitely say that hers is bigger than mine. That's a first and I'm loving it! Remember the due date is Valentine's Day. We will accept monetary donations, chocolate kisses, and a beer tree like the one in that bud light commercial.
Last but not least I would like to discuss something with all of you. I have this friend (I'll leave his/her name out of it to protect them) who has this imaginary friend that they refer to as "WhatNot". Come to think of it I'm not sure if it's a person... or a thing. Anyway, this person talks about "WhatNot" in conversations we have and I can never figure out where "it" is, but I am sure that I am the one missing the mark because recently I heard other people talking about this "WhatNot" too. Here is an example of what I'm talking about by using the word in a sentence: Hey man, What's up? Oh nothing man, I've just been making some phone calls and whatnot. Here's another example of what I've recently heard: Hey man, What you doin'? Me and Tommy are talking about getting some beer and whatnot and headin' to the lake. You wanna go? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...........................
Not until I figure out who or what this "WhatNot" is. Now, I understand that we all have slang words in our vocabulary, but this one is confusing to me because some people refer to "it" as a person while others refer to "it" as a thing. Which is it? I must know!!! WhatNot... what the hell is WhatNot? Please send all comments ASAP!!
God Bless,
Brandon Rhyder
